According to Caterpillar, the Cat XQ1250G is an easily transportable, self-contained, natural gas power plant. It offers an easy-to-use control system to parallel with other Cat generators or with an electric utility.
“Many factors have contributed to development of Cat natural gas generator set rental units,” said Electric Power Rental Marketing Manager, Scott Heppner, Caterpillar Inc. “The industry is demanding cleaner, more efficient mobile power. Customers want to be able to meet both budget and sustainability targets. Given the rising demand for lower carbon fuels, increased gas pipeline availability and decreased natural gas pricing – the XQ1250G is a good fit for those in the market for 1MW+ mobile units.”
