Caterpillar has announced the introduction of the Tier 4 Interim/Stage IIIB technology Cat® C7.1 ACER.
According to Caterpillar, the new engine is a 7.01 liter platform with a power rating of 175-300 hp (130-225 kW) and delivers a peak torque of 944 lb. ft. (1280Nm).
Supplied with an industry leading choice of factory configured options, the engine includes a robust Cat Clean Emissions Module (CEM) aftertreatment system that will meet Tier 4 Interim/Stage IIIB emissions standards.
Designed for reliability in off-road applications operating in demanding environments, it features poly-vee belts for longer service intervals and hydraulic tappet adjustment that minimizes the need for routine service. Additionally, fuel consumption improvements of up to 5% have been realized compared to existing Tier 3/Stage IIIA engines. These features make the new 7-liter platform a powerful choice for mid range industrial applications.
